Adjusting- this is probably really boring...I was bored and I wrote it.

Well things are going pretty smooth at the YAG homestead for starting out. (YAG is the nick name I assigned to us). I am all moved out of my apartment, kids changed schools, and living in the new house; not quite settled still unpacking and all that crap!

Gwyn is having some trouble adjusting to going to all day kindergarten and changing teachers and stuff. She has gotten homesick a couple times at school and her teacher has called to let me know she has been crying and misses me. I'm working on it. She likes school and her new friends I think it's just new. Gavin has been doing fine, but since he's older it was easier for me to coach him on what to expect and prepare him on what it's like to change schools. They also both now go to day care after school. I am finding why a lot of parents struggle with the day care thing. They are EXPENSIVE!!! Gavin and Gwyneth go to the YMCA and they do a lot of activities and seem to enjoy it a lot.

They both are missing their grandparents a lot. It is something to get used to. Gavin is spending the night tonight with Ernie making a haunted house. Gwyn wants to, too, but I told her she can another time.

I am doing okay. I had to change my hours at work to accomodate the morning bus that comes so late compared to CC, so I now don't get the kids picked up and home till after 6. That kind of depresses me cuz I only get a couple hours and that's just not enough with baths, homework, cooking, cleaning up, and other everyday stuff.

I'm considering the insurance business to start looking for a place to put my new degree to work. It's just difficult with my "bankers" hours to try to find a job. I will have to take off work to go to interviews.

I am really missing my grandma a lot. I was seeing her a few times a week and chatting with her about whatever. I also miss Taaron, my cousin's baby. He is so cute and Gwyn and him get along so well. I guess my adjustment has been up and down and very stressful, but I'm getting used to it. I think it will be nicer once we're all unpacked (and the majority of my stuff is out of the garage) so I feel more like "home" to me. A lot of my bigger stuff is out, but it's still not like it's mine. I'm apprehensive about starting a project (like today I really wanted to unpack some boxes of books and get them out of the way) because I'm unsure how my other half will like my work. Plus our bookshelves have taken on other jobs so we really don't have a place for them anyway.

I just want stuff to be getting done so I can put the finishing details on and settle.

I amnot making any sence to anyone how am I supposed to make sence to you?

Im glad to hear that things arent terrible, but of course their are challenges. They are their to make us stronger people. In just a little bit more time you will have a new routine down so you can fit 5 hours of work into 3 hours. Just keep your head up, and be proud of your self at the fact you are doing something with your life, and you have a strong will do so. For now, Best of luck to you! =) Travis
