I decided to have some mommy-daughter time today... It didn't go quite as planned.

Gwyn's always asking me to do her hair, always standing in front of the mirror with my hair ties, combs, brushes, ect, trying to make herself pretty. She's told me she wishes she was a grown up so she can do hair- even told me when she gets bigger she would like to do hair. I can never find some of my hair stuff when I want them because she's ran off with them somewhere.

Anyhoo I took her to Libby Lou so she could get her nails, make up, & hair done. She was ssooooo cute! Pics in my photos don't even do her justice- she was absolutely adorabe!!

She decided she didn't like the twisties on the top of her head (I don't know what they're called, but my hair won't hold them). And she got really embarrassed and self concious... So by the time we got home she hid in the closet and cried.

It hurt my feelings because I hoped that she would have been standing in front of the mirror primping and acting all like a princess with her make over and wanting to dress up... but she cried, and cried, and cried. Then I cried because I'm a big wimp.

So we "fixed" the curles (or twisties whatever they're called) and basically ruined the hairdo because she was self concious of what her friend Monica would think when she and the boys went to Manneul & Monica's house down the road.

She's fine now and said that no one even said anythig about the curles (there was so much hairspray they didn't really come out).



*sigh*

awh hun sorry to hear she didnt like it but it was a great idea to take her though!
